So around November a friend gave me a deer carcass for a project I’m in the process of cultivating. I left it hang in a tree over winter to dry out. Today, I went to take it down…but to my surprise, I found new life forming in the heart of death.

Gordon Ramsay doesn’t care about your gender, race, or creed. All he cares about is that you can cook.
The contestant, Christine, is blind, and he lets her know exactly what he thinks of her dish.
gordon ramsay is not allowed to make me cry from not-laughter or not-insults
SPICY, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS.
DID IT RAIN ON YOUR FACE
this is a perfect example of treating someone with a disability LIKE A PERSON
look y’all gone have enough of making me cry with no warning cuz of stuff on my dash
I remember watching an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where this Black woman ran a Jamaican restaurant. It came out that this woman had a lot on her plate that she felt she had to deal with all by herself. There was a lot riding on the success of the restaurant, and she didn’t have a support system. What surprised me was how he did not force her into this Strong Black Woman role. He made it clear that she needed people around her who could truly help her with the burdens she had instead of adding to them. It was obvious from that episode was that what she needed was someone who could show her the real potential of her restaurant and how to maintain that.
But I also love how he has no fucks to give for silver spoon motherfuckers who just opened a restaurant because they thought it would be cool and fun then proceed to act like nobody needs to know anything about food or business to have a successful restaurant.
Besides this now, my favorite Gordon Ramsey has heart moments was on Hell’s Kitchen, where the Lady who cooked at Waffle House, although she was eliminated, he was so impressed with her, he decided to help pay for formal cooking lessons for her. Because he was like, “You’re in here out cooking all these so called chefs, all you need is more training.”
I love it, they were trying to shit on this black woman because LOL ONLY WAFFLE HOUSE
Gordon Ramsey be knowing
The best best thing I like about Gordon Ramsey is that he’s CHANGED his stance on people over the years. When he first started his TV show he openly stated he thought women were not and could not be chefs. But he never let that bias stand in the way of fairly judging the food itself. First season of Hell’s Kitchen I remember a scene where he said he was surprised it was two women who made it to the finals, and that by far the women’s team was continuly out performing the men’s. After that season I think he ate his words of believing women couldn’t be chefs because for the next 5 season’s women beat out the competition and won.
I love the fact he’s telling her to listen to the knife and how it’s supposed to sound. He’s giving her critique based on her better senses instead of going on as usual and it makes me teary with happy )’8
Well…. there I go crying again. I remember watching this episode and crying when it aired. Gods, I love Gordon Ramsey so much.
I also love how he’s not a food snob. Like… he likes GOOD food, but his thinking seems to be that it doesn’t have to be super fancy high class stuff to be delicious and worth eating. I remember one Kitchen Nightmare where he was trying to make a point about how slow the restaurant he was trying to help was being, so he went the the restaurant next store and got a full meal before the other place even got a dish out. This was just a little hole-in-the-wall kinda place with simple, humble food. But he still praised it as being delicious.
TL;DR - Gordon Ramsey may be a hardass and may do a lot of screaming, but he is one of the most decent human beings out there and I freaking love him to death.
This is reason #4000238291 Why I respect, and love Chef Gordon Ramsey. Sure he can be an asshole the majority of the time, but here shows that he actually cares, and that he has a softer side when it comes to critiquing good food.
